Myiasis Spray

Myiasis Spray for rabbits and guinea pigs works against maggots. Flies lay eggs, and the larvae that hatch are called maggots. And maggots can cause many problems. This spray is designed to control fly larvae and eggs in hobby poultry, homing pigeons, small rodents and non-farm rabbits.

Myiasis in rabbits and guinea pigs is caused by flies laying eggs in sticky faeces. Remove the faeces and ensure good hygiene in the hutch. Spray the right amount of the liquid on the back, from the middle of the back to the tip of the tail. The area under the tail and between the rabbit’s hind legs deserve extra attention. Treat early in the summer, before there are flies.

Active ingredient

Myiasis Spray contains 0.5 mg/ml ivermectin.

Recommended amount

Recommended amount obv body weight:

0.5 – 1.0 kg = 5 sprays
1.0 – 1.5 kg = 7 sprays
1.5 – 3.0 kg = 9 sprays
> 3.0 kg = 15 sprays

Bathing the animal may reduce the effect of the drug and may require more frequent administration. Do not repeat treatment within 4 weeks.
