Zylkene
Zylkene is a natural dietary supplement that can support various forms of stress in dogs and cats. The active ingredient in Zylkene is alpha-casozepide, this is a peptide that arises after splitting the milk protein casein. It has long been known that milk has a calming effect on young animals. This is caused by the fact that young animals (as opposed to adults) can split the casein into alpha-casozepide. The digestion changes with aging and the amount of formed alpha-casozepide is reduced. Therefore the calming effect of milk is less in adult pets. By adding the alpha-casozepide with a dietary supplement as Zylkene, you can accomplish the same effect. Zylkene can be used to help dogs and cats in stress periods or situations as moving, veterinary visits, separation anxiety and fireworks anxiety. Zylkene can be combined perfectly with behavioural therapy.

Mild calming effect
I give it to my cats, mixed with their wet food, on a day if their vet visit and a day before. I have one cat that yells all the way to the vet and one that is terrified when his sister is away, and with Zylkene, they both behave better and are easier to calm down. It doesn’t sedate them or makes them sleepy.
